Our Symbol : The Viking Vegvisir
As a former merchant navy officer, I'm a great believer in this symbol, and it seemed natural to use it to represent my fierce determination to serve as your guide and help you find your best path through the unknown and adversity of the financial markets and new technologies.
Vegvísir is derived from two Icelandic words, vegur and vísir. Vegur means "path" and vísir means "guide".
It's a powerful symbol, very present in Viking culture and still widely used today.
The oldest source of information on the vegvisir is the Huld manuscript, written by Geir Vigfússon (1813 - 1880) in Akureyri in 1860, which reads:
"Take these sticks with you and you won't get lost in storms or bad weather, even in unfamiliar surroundings".
At Holkyia, we believe that the best way to make the most of your experience is to share it with others when they need it most!
I intervene with Reactivity because critical situations always happen when you expect them the least, Adaptability because each context is unique and finally Mindfullness because it's in difficult situations that we need the most support.
